About

Started by Alex Pearmain and Alain Desmier, who met on the Fishburn Hedges grad trainee scheme, The PR and Communications network is for people working in agency or in-house PR roles across London.

It began on Facebook, but now we’ve spread our wings…

We’ve held plenty of drinks events, and even a dinner. There is no strict networking code and you won’t be made to wear a badge (Unless badges are your thing!). It is simply a case of lots of similar people working in lots of similar roles in the same industry, enjoying a few drinks after work.

Equally, if you are looking to work in the PR and Communications industry, please feel free to join the group, get involved on the blog, and come along to the drinks, you’ll be more than welcome.

In response to the number of questions we were getting, we felt a blog was the answer; offering an opportunity for the young PR community to discuss some of the issues raised. As much as we all love PR Week, sometimes it isn’t the CEO’s but the AE’s you want to hear from, and we’ve been using the blog to help us all get to know each other a little better…
Do use the Facebook boards and wall to discuss anything you see fit, leave comments etc on the blog and keep an eye out for updates coming soon…

At the end of 2007. we were joined by James Gilheany [Biss Lancaster] as well, which was jolly pleasant for all concerned.

  1. Great idea, but what about a group in the North. Leeds say.

    is there anyone out there?

  2. We do already have Scottish [and Kiwi!] brethren, but are always open to suggestions. If you’re keen on the idea In Leeds drop us a line, and we’ll see what we can do…
